Hello All: Further to the point of no true facilities based competition, the GAO recently issued a report disputing the FCC's sense that competition exists even for special access facilities in 16 major cities; see http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d0780.pdf. Additionally note that the FCC's press release on the AT&T acquisition of BellSouth used the fact that the two ventures never compteted against each other as a rationale for supporting the merger. Ouch!
