It's interesting that the numbers of waiting and anxious applicants may be relatively low. If we set up a process that reliably created 10 (or fewer!) gTLDs a year, we might soon exhaust the energy for new applicants and things could go on peacefully at a low level for years. I guess there's no way to test whether that's actually true, but it would be helpful to have this information as part of the gTLD GNSO process. Susan
