Gabriella Coleman (Rutgers, Center for Cultural Analysis), “Three Ethical Moments in Debian” While the social conditions surrounding the Debian Project differ greatly from those surrounding ICANN, complaints about opaque decision-making processes and fear of corruption seem to cut across a number of different governance structures when people tend to interact mainly through computer-mediated communications.
