Re: Not what it seems
by minime
There is a whole movement concerning bloggers. Every country has a page where bloggers can meet and make their site known. There are meetings where they discuss about the importance of blogging, if they can compare with journalists and how their writing affects their readers. I one partake at such activity and meat the nicest people in the blogosphere. I did it to get an interview for a local magazine. They all seemed enthusiastic about it. One thing got me thinking though, nowadays it's not all about creative writing or spreading the news faster but it's all about money. Except the adds some of them have on the pages, others told me there's some online stock trading going on for bigger, older blogs. You can now own 2% of a blog and get rich if the blog gets famous. This way everybody helps to advertise it and attract as many visitors as they can.
